Ever since I was a little girl, I was given the life most little girls dream of! A pony for my birthday, horses to grow up with, horse shows (barrel racing and show jumping), a camper and boat at a camp on a lake, dance classes, etc. I was blessed to say the least!
I was always so grateful for the life that I was given. I was adopted as an infant. The family that adopted me, my mom, dad, and sister, stepped up and gave me the life that any kid could ever wish for.
Just before I turned 30, my mom let me read some information from my adoption. She waited to make sure I was mentally and emotionally ready for it, which I am truly grateful for. I learned that I have a half-sister that was raised by my biological grandparents and that she is only a couple of years older than me. I learned that my biological mom was in the Army National Guard. I learned that my biological mom had BIG plans for my future and that she chose my mom and dad as the ones that would be able to provide that for me. Boy am I so glad that she did.
I have known that I was adopted since I was really young. My family never kept that from me. I have always had questions about where I came from and who my biological family was. However, as I said before, I am oh so grateful for the family that God blessed me with.
A couple of weeks ago, I came across an ad on TikTok for the show Relative Race. If you haven’t seen it, it is a competition show and pairs compete in challenges. When you complete a challenge, you are given information to get you to your next destination where you get the chance to meet someone that plays a vital role in your biological family. For sh*** and giggles, I filled out the form not expecting to hear anything back. Today, I missed a call and then got a text from someone that works in the casting department stating that she wanted to set up a phone interview with me and learn more about my story and who I would be interested in looking for! [HOW FREAKING EXCITING?!?]
I texted her back and will be awaiting the phone call interview. Who knows…. Maybe I will get the chance to be on TV!
There is so much more that I can talk about. My life has been anything BUT boring!
I’m going to end this blog here though. Stay tuned for the next one!
Happy Monday!
